Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026Effective date: August 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Stelle Technologies Inc., operating as Glimpot ("Glimpot", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and discloses personal information when you use our website and our content-optimization service (together, the "Service"). We are a Canadian company. Our contact information and our Privacy Officer's contact details are in Section 13.
By using the Service you consent to the practices described in this Policy, to the extent consent is the applicable legal basis.
1. Scope
This Policy covers personal information we handle as the operator of the Service — primarily information about merchants and their team members. It does not cover the practices of third-party platforms you connect to the Service (such as your e-commerce platform), which have their own privacy policies.
2. Information We Collect From You
- Account information. Name, email address, and login credentials when you create an account, and profile details you choose to add.
- Brand and business information. Information you provide to configure the Service, such as your store name and brand voice preferences.
- Payment information. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We receive transaction records (such as amount, currency, pack purchased, and billing status) but we do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
- Communications. Messages you send us through our contact form or by email, including your name and email address.
3. Information We Collect From Connected Platforms
3.1 When you connect your store on a supported e-commerce platform (for example, Shopify), we access store data needed to provide the Service — such as your store identifier and your product catalogue, including product titles, descriptions, images, and related metadata.
3.2 We do not request access to your store's customer records. The platform permissions we request are limited to store content and are shown to you on the installation screen when you connect your store. If personal information belonging to your customers is nonetheless received by us for any reason, we do not use it, and we delete it and respond to platform data requests as described in Section 8.
4. Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service we collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and actions taken in the product, along with security signals used to protect the Service from abuse. Cookies are described in Section 10.
5. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- provide, operate, and improve the Service, including generating optimized content from your store data;
- process purchases, manage credit balances, and send billing records;
- send transactional and service communications (such as account verification, credit-expiry reminders, and important service notices);
- send marketing communications only if you have opted in, with a working unsubscribe in every message (Section 6);
- provide support and respond to your inquiries;
- secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your information for third-party advertising.
6. Marketing Communications and Anti-Spam Compliance
We send commercial electronic messages in compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Marketing emails are sent only with your consent (for example, if you check the optional marketing box at signup) and every marketing email includes our identification, mailing address, and an unsubscribe mechanism that we honour promptly. Transactional emails about your account or purchases are not marketing and are sent as part of operating the Service.
7. AI Processing and Model Training
The Service uses artificial-intelligence technology, provided in part by third-party AI service providers, to generate content from your store data. Your data is transmitted to these providers solely for that purpose.
We do not use your store data, product content, or brand voice profile to train AI models. Our AI provider processes your data solely to generate your content and is contractually prohibited from training models on it.
8. Disclosure of Information
We disclose personal information only:
- to service providers ("sub-processors") who process it on our behalf to run the Service (hosting, database, AI processing, payments, email delivery, security). The current list is maintained on our sub-processor list and is updated as our providers change;
- to your connected platform, as needed to publish content you approve and to honour platform data-handling requirements, including responding to platform-initiated data deletion requests when you uninstall or when a deletion request is relayed to us;
- for legal reasons, where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Glimpot, our users, or others;
- in a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this Policy continues to apply to previously collected information.
9. International Transfers
We are a Canadian company, and our Service is hosted on infrastructure located in the United States. Your information is stored and processed in the United States (and may be processed in other jurisdictions where our sub-processors operate) and may be accessible to authorities in those jurisdictions under their laws. We use contractual and technical safeguards designed to ensure our sub-processors protect your information to a standard consistent with this Policy and applicable Canadian privacy law.
10. Cookies
We use only cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the Service: keeping you signed in, maintaining your session, and protecting the Service against automated abuse. We measure site traffic using a cookieless, privacy-preserving analytics service that does not track you across other sites. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will update this Policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
11. Retention and Deletion
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except where longer retention is required by law (for example, tax and accounting records). When you close your account or disconnect your store, we delete associated store data in accordance with this Policy and applicable platform requirements. You may request deletion at any time (Section 12).
12. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- withdraw consent (which may limit our ability to provide the Service);
- request deletion of your personal information;
- ask questions or make a complaint about our practices.
To exercise these rights, contact our Privacy Officer (Section 13). We may need to verify your identity first. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, for Quebec residents, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
13. Privacy Officer and Contact
Glimpot has designated a Privacy Officer responsible for our privacy practices and compliance:

14. Children
